As i near the end of my education towards completing my undergraduate degree, I am seeing the benefit of having an e-portfolio. I am doing preliminary job searches and notice on some applications they have mention of adding links to online portfolios to demonstrate the quality of work performed while in school. As a Communications major, I am adding links to my published writing samples, My radio hosting, My television hosting as well as Personal Image services. I think that I can continue to improve my website by keeping it updated with my current work. With the diverse career goals that I have, deciding what to include in my e-portfolio is also a challenge as there is a wide range to the activities that I do.
The questions that I have are when exactly do you present the e-portfolio? do you present it during the interview process or application process and what are some guidelines to the type things you want to include in your e-portfolio? Should you add and remove items in your portfolio as time passes to keep it fresh and current?
